Binance Compatible API

PAX provides a Binance-compatible API for traders migrating from existing venues. The native PAX API remains the recommended integration path and offers several advantages:

Cancel by price. Canceling orders is critical both to remove bad prices from the book and to free up margin. Most exchanges require traders to track order IDs, i.e. an exchange- or trader-assigned identifier for each submitted order. PAX enables traders to cancel liquidity at a price. This is a more natural expression of intent and relieves trading software of the requirement to track order IDs. Cancel by order id is available through the compatibility API.

Single stream of market data. PAX integrates book updates and trade publication into one message type. At most exchanges, quants need to figure out how to interleave various data streams as messages arrive at their subscriber.

Unified batch submit. Most exchanges support batch submit for cancels and placements separately, but not both at the same time. PAX supports a unified batch submit which reduces API usage rate. Entries run in request order, so cancels listed first are processed before the placements that follow.

PAX will provide Binance-compatible market data feeds (e.g. top-of-book only) derived from its native unified market data stream.
